RS Aeros at the Selden SailJuice Winter Series 2022

5 great events took place with generally light winds and a final sting in the tale with gusts into the high 30kns at Rutland! The RS Aero 7s were the largest class to compete with 302 mixed class entries in total.
The RS Aero 7s were in contention for the Top Class team award throughout, but we blew it at Rutland without a complete team of 3 in the gales. The RS Aero 7s were the only class with 2 sailors in the top 10 overall from the 302 entries overall overall with Peter Barton 7th and Ellie Craig 9th. Ellie scored Top Lady overal. The RS Aeros dominated the GPS Top Speeds (PY adjusted) with Ollie Williamson (RS Aero 5) 1st and Peter Barton 2nd, recorded whilst sending it down the reaches at Rutland!
It was nice to show the new RS Aero 6 rig at King George and Rutland with some steady performances over a variety of conditions. Thanks the the Great Lakes handicapers for providing a number quickly.
Overall the RS Aeros proved themselves to be all round performers, able to achieve a results across a variety of conditions on corrected time in the mixed class fleets.
The SailJuice prize giving took place at the new RYA Dinghy Show at Farnborough. Thanks to organiseres SailJuice, sponsors Seldén Mast& TridentUK.com, SpeedSix and all the host clubs for another fantastic Selden SailJuice Winter Series!
