Yorkshire Dales Brass Monkey - Yorkshire Dales SC, UK, 13th March

Re-scheduled from December a smaller but top quality fleet competed for the Brass Monkey at Yorkshire Dales SC on Sunday. The delayed date benefitted from the delights of extra daylight and milder temperature and had a good breeze too.

The RS Aero 7s were the largest fleet at the event with 6 entries. The Beaver SC boys Sam Waller and Tom Penty lead the RS Aeros home in 17th and 18th places respectively with a three way tie with Duncan De Boltz in 19th. The highlight was Sam's 3rd place in Race 2!

Yorkshire Dales Brass Monkey - Yorkshire Dales SC, UK, Sunday 13th March

The rescheduled Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club's Brass Monkey is now the first event of the Selden SailJuice Great British Sailing Challenge.

At Yorkshire Dales SC you can experience the delights of sailing on the biggest inland water in Yorkshire framed by the majestic backdrop of the moors. Two handicap races are planned, with a nice lunch break. The fleets are split, so the RS Aeros will be on a start line with similar speed and type of boats.

Underfloor heating, panoramic windows and superb catering all add to the splendour, and all at great value. Unique to this event is the inclusion of teas and coffees, lunch and after sailing nibbles for all competitors within the entry fee!

There will be lots of prizes kindly supported by the club.
Thanks to all the recent rain the reservoir is now full to the brim!
Camping on Saturday night is free and of course no charge for sailing on Saturday.
Food available all day.
