The final event of the Selden SailJuice Winter Series is is the Oxford Blue this Saturday which includes the RS Aero UK Winter Championship on Saturday 19th Feb. The RS Aeros are the largest Class entered so far and it is looking fresh again!

SailRacer trackers were fitted to every boat and recorded some impressive speeds. The outright fastest was Roger Gilbert and Ben McGrane in their 505 at 18.7kts.
Adjusting the speeds using Great Lakes Handicaps Ollie Williamson was 2nd fastest overall in his RS Aero 5 at 15.9kts to the 2000 in 1st with 17.1kts! Well done Ollie!

Another incredible Tiger Trophy to remember!
Max gusts were recorded on the race course of 38kn on Saturday and 39kn on Sunday making yards gained upwind hard earned at times and providing some memorably fast downwinds! The severity of the gusts led to only 19 of the 93 competitors finishing all three races and there was no discard!
Whilst the wind was epic the temperatures were quite mild even with wind chill - although the water was a little chilly apparently....

At long last it looks like we have some good wind forecast and the temperatures are mild!
Early Entry Discount - Ends midnight Wednesday and the price increases. Get signed up!
RS Aero 7 - With just two more events to go we are a close 2nd in the Top Class rankings. There is work to be done if we are to finally crack this one for the first time. We could do with a few more RS Aero 7s entering to support the effort as the top 3 boats from each Class in each race of the series score towards that contest. If you can only make the Saturday that is fine as three of the four races are on Saturday. Glory lasts forever - be part of it!

Selden SailJuice Winter Series
The Tiger Trophy is one of the most popular handicap events of the winter and a good RS Aero fleet is forming. With 3 handicap races on Saturday and a pursuit race on Sunday the event promises to provide lots of great racing!
The event takes place on Rutland Water, in the centre of the country, and features the Tiger Dinner taking place on the Saturday night. A large proportion of the entry fee goes directly to the John Merricks Sailing Trust.
RS AERO 6 - A few of the newly adopted RS Aero 6 rigs are available on loan at the Tiger Trophy (1 entered already!) and a 'Great Lakes' handicap number has been organised. Booking info on the Event Page
