RS Aero UK Youth Championships & Coaching - Royal Torbay Yacht Club, UK, 29-31st Oct

28 Youth Sailors ventured to the Royal Torbay Yacht Club in sunny Devon for the annual RS Aero UK Youth Championships competed for in two fleets, the RS Aero 5 and the RS Aero 7. Charter RS Aeros provided by RS Sailing enabled both new sailors to try out the RS Aero and international visitors from Italy and the Channel Islands to fly in to compete and check out the UK fleet prior to next summer's first RS Aero World Youth Championship at Weymouth.
A training afternoon on Friday enabled the fleet to get settled with Class coaches Sammy Isaacs-Johnson and Andrew Frost revving them up and bringing them back into the groove at the end of the half term week. By Saturday morning it was all on with 5 races planned due to the incoming gales expected on Sunday.

Friday 29th is a coaching day with RS Aero 5 World and National Champion Andrew Frost and Sammy Isaacs-Johnson coaching.
Timings are 11am briefing, 1pm launch.
Cost is £20, pay on the day.

Youth Team coaching on the 29th, before Championship racing on the 30/31st building on the successful RS Aero UK Youth Champs at Burghfield, Lymington and Rutland the event now visits Torbay on the English Riviera!
The RS Aero UK Youth Championships in 2021 are open to all Youth under 22 years old on the 31st December 2021. Additionally, there will be female categories and three age categories each taken on 31st December 2021;
- Apprentice (under 22)
- Youth (under 19)
- Junior (under 16)
Championship Entry Fee: £81.50, includes Saturday's Dinner
Registration: Check in at Haldon Pier
Briefing: 09.00 Saturday 30th at Haldon Pier
First Race: 10:30 Sat 30th

Social: On Saturday 30th October a Three Course Dinner will be held in the club, this is included in the entry fee. The menu and online process for selection of choices will be published on the Club's event website

A limited number are be available and are booking up!
The cost is £150 and they can be booked via the RS Sailing Charter Bookings website.

Rig Charter - RS Sailing may also be able to supply charter rigs to those borrowing boats who need a different rig. Please email Lucy at RS to request.
