RS Aeros at the Steve Nicholson Trophy
Northampton SC, UK, 25th Jan
Round 7 of the RS Aero UK Winter Series It was light this year at the annual Steve Nicholson Trophy held in aid of Asthma UK.
Well done to Chris Larr and Tim Hire taking 4th and 5th respectively in their RS Aero 9s in the mixed class single-hander fleet whilst the Solos and Phantoms prevailed for the top spots.
Abigail Larr stepped up to an RS Aero 7 for the day and finished top Youth Female in a creditable 18th overall (a couple of places ahead of our webmaster in his RS600!).

The forecast is looking good for Saturday, the direction is straight down the lake, so perfect (hopefully that will stay).
Currently, only 4 Aeros entered, which is a bit disappointing, could be some easy points there for your series!
And last year Tim Hire won the trophy, send in some competition for him ;o)

Round 7 of the RS Aero UK Winter Series
Who is up for a big day out at Northampton SC on the 25th?
Tim Hire won the Trophy in 2019 when he won the singlehanded fleet of 52 entries on an excitingly breezy day in his RS Aero 7.
Two handicap races in a large mixed single hander fleet of predominantly similar boats provides a good challenge and excellent event practice for the season ahead. Probably one of the most excellent sailing club galleys in the country.
