RS AERO UK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

Further to the discussion at the UK AGM, for our 4th UK Nationals we venture North, to one of the jewels of North Wales. Abersoch is famed for its beautiful beach, fabulous Championship racing waters and the stunning views from the South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club perched on the headland.

The early UK Nationals will provide an excellent build up to the 2018 World Championships which are two months later in Weymouth. The Nationals are 4 days, Thurs-Sunday, at the end of half term week.

DATE - SCYC were accommodating in amending this date from late August as it made better sense to have the UK Champs as an exciting build up to the Worlds, 2 months before, rather than 3 weeks after. It is within half term so those without important exams should be fine. Those with important exams may miss it, but there will be plenty of other events for those few to choose from.

VENUE - Having had 3 years of south coast Nationals, for year 4 it was agreed important to venture to one of the norths top venues for the Nationals, particularly as the 2018 World Champs are on the south coast and the Northern UK RS Aero fleet continues to gather momentum.
