RS AERO UK SOUTHERN CHAMPS - Hayling 17/18 June
Great to see 32 RS Aeros enjoying a sweltering weekend at Hayling Island as part of the mega 200 boat RS Classes Summer Southerns with 9 RS fleets over two race areas. There was not a cloud in the sky all weekend, although a little more wind might have been welcome!Full Report to follow. Results here

Have a read before the weekend - but watch out for amendments and more detail at the briefing.
Proposed Format (subject to change);
- RS Aeros will start and race together on PY
- RS Aeros will race a quadrilateral, as will RS300s. The RS100s and RS500s will share the race area and sail a w/l.
- There will be two finish lines, either side of the com boat, to keep the asymetrics separate.
- RS Aero 5s will sail a lap less than the 7s and 9s (likely 2 and 3). Results will be on average lap basis.
- RS200, RS400, RS700 and RS800 will be on a separate race area, so not too scary ;-).
Forecast looks light/medium with wall to wall sunshine and temps up to 27'C! Pack your suncream and hat....and don't forget your party clothes!

MID SUMMER
Six months after we last visited for our Winter Training in December, the days will be long and the weather warm. A perfect time to visit Hayling with its seaside and beach surrounds!

For the RS Aero Southerns we join the rest of the RS Family at the RS Sailing Summer Championships. If there are enough RS Aero entries we can have our own course area.
There is a fabulous party booked on Saturday night with a great band and sailing's legendary silver medalist DJ, Mark Covell.
The Southern Champs weekend will also be a great chance to test the water in preparation for the big one - the UK National Championships & International Open, at Hayling at the end of August.
