Beasted by the Beastie!
Nice to see nine RS Aeros out for a breezy Beastie at Wimbleball - 25% of the total fleet!
If you can learn something new every time you go out your sailing will progress and Wimbleball was not short on handing out lessons!
I gave RS Aero first timer Angus a once over the RS Aero specifics and sail settings before going afloat. However, just 5 minutes into the race I realised that my technique and tuning would have to have a total re think if I was to make it around this particular course....

Who is up for the challenge of the Exmoor Beastie this Sunday at Wimbleball SC, Somerset at their beautiful Exmoor Lake? I look forward to visiting for the first time.

The format is for one long pursuit race taking in a tour of the whole Lake. First start at 12:00.
The Beastie is the penultimate event, Round 9, of the RS Aero UK Winter Series and also part of a three race 'South West Series' together with Starcross and Roadford.

Who is up for the challenge of the Exmoor Beastie at Wimbleball SC, Somerset? I have never been there and am looking forward to it.

Annual mass Pursuit Race classic at this beautiful lake, high on Exmoor.
Likely schedule, (to be confirmed);
Briefing; 11:00
First Start; 12:00
Finish; 15:00
Format: One big mixed class pursuit race taking in a tour of Wimbleball Lake
The 'Exmoor Beastie' at Wimbleball is also part of a three race 'South West Series', the others being the 'Starcross Steamer' on Sunday 5th February and the 'Roadford Rocket' on Sunday 26th February.
We had great fun in the Southwest recently with 10 RS Aeros at Rocketing Round Roadford, come and join in for another exciting Pursuit in another scenic country location!
The Exmoor Beastie is the penultimate stage of the ten event RS Aero UK Winter Series.
