RS AEROCUP : BARCELONAOverall Results, Report and Pictures are now on the Class site.
39* sailors from 9 nations! What was great to see was the thorough mix of nations at the front of the fleets with 5 different countries on the podiums! We enjoyed a good mix of conditions with coaching, great racing and then wave blasting!
[*We had 40 entries but Peter Craggs of York broke his toe - get well soon Peter!]

The Nacra 17 Europeans are now over at BISC and they had a full mix of conditions. Regular RS sailors Ben Saxton & Nic Groves won the title against some mega hot competition!

FLIGHTS
Barcelona airport is just the other side of the City from the BISC. Reus and Girona airports are a little further afield.
From the UK two good options that I know sailors have already booked are;
BA, Heathrow-Barcelona, Out Wednesday 28th 16:35, Back Sunday 1st 20:25
orEasyjet, Luton-Barcelona, Out on Wednesday 28th at about 20:15
These are just a couple of good examples from the UK. It would be fun to be on the same flights as others and there could be efficiencies on transfers.

Several UK sailors have booked into the Diagonal0 which looks fantastic and is very close to the BISC.
Nice for people to aim for one place - but will we fit our RS Aeros into that pool?

Return boat delivery from Romsey for just £187. Midlands boat transport option. At 95 Euro entry fee it is all great value!
Some charter boats may still be available to assist non UK travellers.
Join the party and sign up for some Autumn sun!

Initial interest in the first RS Aerocup : Barcelona is very encouraging. We already have 'registrations of interest' from a good number of UK boats and 2 initial Spanish in their own boats. Requesting charter boats we currently have;
Sweden - 2
Lithuania - 3
USA - 2
which is really exciting!
We are delighted to have secured the prestigious Barcelona International Sailing Center as our venue, hosts to many International regattas and training camps.
The Center fronts on to an idyllic Mediterranean race area with World Class facilities ashore providing accommodation, comfort, and cuisine - including a sauna for the windy days and a gym for any light wind days!

RS AEROCUP : BARCELONA EDITION announced
30th October - 1st November 2015
Press Release
We are delighted to announce the addition of a new gem to the RS Aero international calendar and the birth of the RS Aerocup series!
The first edition of the Aerocup will be held from October 30th to November 1st 2015 in the iconic city of Barcelona, home of the 1992 Olympic sailing event.
We will be laying on a great social schedule, giving you the opportunity to soak up some Spanish atmosphere with friends. You can expect a prestigious race committee and top of the range facilities in a fantastic setting. There will even be a coaching day before the event for all who fancy a little longer in the sun or just some extra tips.
Sixteen charter boats will be made available to International entrants outside of the UK. More details of this opportunity and an efficient UK boat transport deal will be released along with entry details in the near future.
