Beautiful Lake Maggiore delivered great sailing conditions yet again for the three day Lago Maggiore International RS Aero Regatta held over the European Bank Holiday weekend from the 19th - 21st May.

Beautiful Lake Maggiore delivered great sailing conditions yet again for the three day Lago Maggiore International RS Aero Regatta held over the European Bank Holiday weekend from the 19th - 21st May.
Thirty four RS Aeros from six different countries (Switzerland, Holland, Germany, Italy, France and the UK) entered with all rigs sizes represented including a large fleet of 9’s with 14 entries.....

Fantastic is to see 31 entries so far from 6 countries for this year's 5th edition of the Lago Maggiore International RS Aero Regatta and Swiss Open in Maccagno, Italy from 19-21st May. The regatta will again have a very international flavour with Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, France and Great Britain all represented. There is a good balance of entries over all four RS Aero fleets with the largest RS Aero fleet being......the RS Aero 9s!
Racing is from 19-21st May and the German RS Aero Class are arranging training from 16-18th.
Come and join the fun for a relaxed few days in the Italian Alps with great racing and a wonderfully sociable event.

Fun Fact - Lago Maggiore is both the longest lake in Italy and the lowest point in Switzerland.

The Swiss Open, supported by RS Sailing Italia and NauticaLuino
We look forward to returning again for our 5th event at Lago Maggiore for another International RS Aero Regatta at Maccagno. The format 3 days racing from Friday to Sunday at the wonderful Italian great lake.
Lago Maggiore is the most westerly of the three large pre-alpine lakes of Italy. Whilst most of the Lake's length is in Italy its alpine northern tip rests in Switzerland. Beautiful mountains, fair breezes and a wonderful culture make Lago Maggiore an event not to be missed!
