Meet fellow RS Aero sailors in or outside The Cove Inn (91 Chiswell, Portland DT5 1AW) throughout the evening. Possibly the most dramatically situated pub in England and fantastic to enjoy the lovely sunset we have arranged.

Head into Weymouth town after racing to catch some tunes at The Quayside Festival in front of Rendevous harbour side pub at St Thomas St, Weymouth, DT4 8AW)
The FREE Quayside Music Festival brings a huge range of talented musicians lined-up for the RS Aeros to dance the day away if you have not hiked too hard. Bangin' food and delicious drinks galore to soak in the bank holiday fun and sun. The Quayside Festival is completely FREE. Just show up, enjoy the tunes, and save that money for that extra beer you fancy!

Note that the start time on Saturday is 13:00 with the race Briefing at 11:00. If you are travelling on Saturday morning be sure to leave early to avoid Bank Holiday traffic.

YOUTH CATEGORY
The entry numbers are fabulous overall and as expected the youth category was always going to small at this one with the RS Aero 6 & 9 fleets focused more towards adults and many of our young sailors working hard for their exams in the early season.
The Youth category is set at 'under 19 on 31st December 2023' (as is usual at most of our events).
To produce a nice number of young sailors to compete for a category we can additionally award an Apprentice Youth category of 'under 22 on 31st December 2023' (which we use at the Youth Worlds and dedicated UK Youth Champs).

We have hit 55 entries for our first split UK RS Aero 6 & 9 Nationals next weekend. Both RS Aero 6 & 9 fleets are looking excellent with the RS Aero 6s the largest ever at 38 and the RS Aero 9s the largest for a while at 17.

The sailing will be on the fabulous and varied waters which contested the 2012 Olympics with race areas inside or outside of the harbour as conditions dictate, allowing protected or open water sailing as appropriate. Racing will be held over 3 days from Saturday 27th to Monday 29th May on the half term Bank Holiday weekend - so no week days off work!

Fantastic to see entries streaming in for our first split RS Aero 6 & 9 UK National Champs.
The RS Aero 6 fleet with 29 enties so far is set to be the largest in history.....at least until the World Championship fleet beats it a couple of months later.
The RS Aero 9 class at 14 entries is already surpassing the RS Aero 9 champs fleets of 2022, lets make it 20+ for some awesome big rig racing!
It will be a wonderfully international Championship with 7 nations now on the entry list. They represent Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, France, Norway, Iceland and Germany.
