Thanks everyone. RS agrees with Hairsy. Use clear gel coat with a taste of pigment ;)

Thanks Hairsy. For clarification: You use Clear, and not Neutral gel coat?

I use clear gel coat filler from East Coast Fibreglass supplies with the RS pigment. I add pigment 'to taste' - i.e. just enough to give it the colour. Doesn't need much though.

I would assume, that you have to use neutral gelcoat, which could be difficult to get.

Personally I have good experience to use Liquid color instead of Pigments with neutral Epoxid.

Meanwhile I prefer to do it with Epoxid instead of Polyester Gelcaot.

Hi all- I need to do a small gelcoat repair. I purchased the RS Aero Gel Coat Pigment, and have a question about the mixing. Do I use white or neutral gel coat to mix with it? Any advice, tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks!
