Is the end of the batten in the elastic correctly? The sails come with battens just loose in their pockets, there's an elastic grip at the luffward end of the pocket that you have to poke the end of the batten into, I think it keeps the batten from later popping out.

If it's currently just caught on the front end of that part, then you may have a few more cm that the batten will go into the pocket when it's fully in.

Hi all, I have just bought an Aero and find that the top batten is overly tight. This seems to be due to the length of the batten as it is very difficult to get the adjuster end on. I have tried taking the screw out of end but this does not help.

Can the batten be shortened a few mm without breaking any class rules?
