Hi, I changed mine to single blocks from the double one on the deck. If you buy Harken soft attach blocks, they come with the rope to attach them with. It is a little bit of a fiddle to get it through the deck organiser but you don't need to remove the deck organiser.. I used a thin knitting needle to help push the rope tie through. I kep the block at the same size as you can't get Harken 20mm soft attach block. It has made the downhaul easier to pull on too.Reply 16/03/2023 13:26:00

Hello together,
I plan to exchange the blocks shown on the attached foto for Outhawl and Cunningham/ Downhawl) to the larger diameter of 20 and two separate blocks for the Cunningham (ease of use in light winds).
Is there any specification, which line diameter has to be used to fix the blocks at the deck? I could not find any specification in the class rules. My idea is to use relatively thinn lines, because I believe, that in case over overlaod it is better, the line is destroyed than the attachment at the deck. Also a thinner line is easier to assemble.
Can anybody clarify, what is class legal?
Best regards
