Hare & Hounds at Emsworth
The competition has stepped up a notch in the Emsworth, with a new Hare in front of the Hounds!

Congratulations to John Derbyshire on winning his first race in an RS Aero from a mixed fleet of 49 starters in his RS Aero 9. Taking it easy after retiring as Director of Racing at the RYA!

Who is up for checking out the delights of Chichester Harbour at their annual 'Slipper Shiver' on the 6th January - Round 3 on the RS Aero Winter Series this year.

WINTER WONDERS
some RS Aero movers and shakers across the UK...

Well done to everyone out competing in their RS Aeros this autumn with many successes to date. On the radar so far are;

RUTLAND – the Battle of the Barnham’s is intensifying with Finlay making it all square at the top of the leader board with father Jasper, both on 11pts after 12 races in the 35 boat mixed fleet. With 8 RS Aeros in the series the Rutland RS Aeros are going from strength to strength this year.

BLITHFIELD – Congratulations to Matt Thursfield who came out 3rd overall with a 4,3 at the end of a breezy start to the Blithfield Barrel series this winter from a very competitive top notch fleet of 36. Round 2 is this Sunday!

EMSWORTH – There is always lots of activity out of Emsworth in the Autumn with Emsworth, Emsworth Slipper and Thorney clubs all coming together for the hard fought Hare & Hounds series. 14 entries in 12 RS Aeros are on the score sheet so far with the RS Aeros holding their own in each series and the fleet scores. Last weekend they managed to take all of the top 4 spots from the 47 starters in the mixed fleet! Well done to Richard Kennedy & Tom Kennedy, Mark Riddington and Tom Tredray for leading the charge. The tide is high and they are all at it again this weekend.

LYMINGTON – Not wanting to be left out UK Class Chairman Nigel Rolfe picked the shifts well on the Western Solent in yet another autumn north westerly to win Race 7 from 8 RS Aeros and 18 starters. Peter Barton leads the series with Karl Thorne 4th.

Any more to report, please? Do keep everyone informed here, it is always nice to hear of the activity in various locations.
