In the UK alone we had three events spread across the country. Yorkshire Dales had a new record entry north of the midlands with 19 RS Aeros alongside their training and try-outs. Reading in the south had a small open of 12 on their lovely hideaway lake. In the southwest 7 more RS Aeros joined Paignton's POSH mixed single hander event with Richard Watsham winning the yardstick fleet for the RS Aeros! 

 

On top of that in the extreme south west our hero, Ken Fowler, started his epic adventure from Lands End to Scotland in aid of his cancer charities and is already nearly out of Cornwall despite challenging light headwinds. Ken set a new record yesterday of 8 hours upwind sailing in an RS Aero 9! http://racetoscotland.co.uk/

 

In Germany the first open of the season at Dummer See in the north followed last weekend's Lake Garda training with 12 more sailors keen to get up to speed in time for our first World Champs in Carnac in July.

 

The Texas action carried on rolling with Mike Lindstrom tied for first at Dallas in the Rush Creek Dinghyfest mixed fleet.

 

As one season ends another begins with Black Rock YC in Melbourne's Icicle Series (it is all relative!), starting on Sunday in Australia and tonight is the second Tallinn Tuesday with Team Estonia's sailing and cafe culture gathering momentum towards their summer.

 

Many many more would be out supporting their all important home club fleets with Lymington UK alone having a fleet of 9 out!
