We are all over it Gordon.....it is the airborne gybes that remain elusive.

Nice idea, but by the time you buy the foiling kit and it as it would also need wings to give the power, you may as well buy a boat specifically designed for the job.
 
Quietly being developed near us in Melbourne is a brilliantly engineered Scow Moth known as the Skeeta which is reaching the end of its prototype stage.

It would be awesome, but it's not simple. Once on foils, the full weight of the boat and helm is concentrated on the daggerboard. Yes, the Aero is light, but I'm sure the daggerboard and trunk were not designed for that load. The foil attachment would have to take this into account.
