Broadwater Open Meeting (Middlesex) - Sunday 24th April 2016
The Broadwater fleet has exploded onto the scene in the autumn of 2015 reaching 6 RS Aeros. David Cherrill took the Bronze Medal at the recent RS Aero 9 UK Inland Champs and as event organiser looks forward to welcoming the fleet to Broadwater's first RS Aero open event.
Broadwater is conveniently located just inside the M25 West of London and is a very attractive stretch of water with a nature reserve at one end attracting a variety of water birds. As one of the largest sailing lakes in the Thames Valley this should provide a great early season sharpener!
David has provided the following Info;
RS Aero 5/7/9 Open Meeting Broadwater SC Sunday 24th April 2016
Registration from: 09:00
Briefing: 10:30
First race start time: 11:00
Entry fee: £15 including lunch for 1 person (currently planned to be baked potato with chilli-con-carne but subject to change), £10 for under 18.
Additional lunches available for £5 if you warn us in advance on the entry email. Free tea and coffee will be available. There is no shop so bring your own chocolate & cans of drink.
Format: 3 races. Two races before lunch, and one after lunch.
Entries will be accepted for RS Aero 5, 7, or 9 so the races will be timed and positions awarded on handicap.
PLEASE ENTER IN ADVANCE by sending an email at least three days (and preferably a week or more) in advance to david.cherrill@btinternet.com with your name, weekend contact phone number, email address, sail number, and likely rig (5/7/9). I need to make an accurate estimate of entries so I can provide lunch etc.
Please fill in an entry form and pay when you arrive. We will not charge for ‘no shows’, but if you can’t make it please let me know in advance.
The Club is within 10 minutes drive of Junction 1 of the M40 or Junctions 16 and 17 of the M25. Access to the club is from Moorhall Road opposite The Bear on the Barge.
