Filey Regatta - North Yorkshire, UK, 17/18 May

This year's Filey Regatta on the UK's north east coast proved to be a memorable edition for hardy sailors with 17kn winds gusting into the high 20s and a 1.5m swell on Saturday. Sunday was only a little easier.

5 RS Aeros joined the mixed class fleet of 15 entries, racing on PY corrected timing around a 'P' course. They all did themselves proud, demonstrating the RS Aero's capabilities and resilience to challenging days on the sea.

Congratulations to Ian Escritt (Yorkshire Dales SC, RS Aero 6) who took the win with a commanding 1,2,1,2. Not far behind was Hayden Moore (Notts County, RS Aero 6) who took 3rd with a 4,3,2,3.  In 5th was Ben Ratcliffe (Scammonden Water, RS Aero 6) and in 8th was Fiona Spence (Yorkshire Dales SC, RS Aero 5). Heros all!

Next up for the UK's Northern RS Aeros is the RS Aero Northern Champs at Yorkshire Dales SC on Saturday 7th June
before Beaver SC  on Saturday 21st June.
