RS Japan Open & RS Aero Japanese Championships - Hayama, Japan, 26/27 Oct 2024

The 2nd Japanese RS Aero Championship took place at Hayama 26/27th Oct. This year 21 RS Aero participants represented Ireland, Shimizu, Okinawa, Miyagi, Zushi, Enoshima, and Hay. Three races were completed on each of Saturday and Sunday in good wind and sunshine.

At the get-together party on Saturday evening, the competitors interacted and reported about the Japanese team's participation in the RS Aero World Championships in Great Britain in August.

Congratulations to the winners and to everyone taking part! Takada Jyunpei won the RS Aero 5s. Roy Van Maanen of Ireland won the RS Aero 6s, whilst first Japanese sailor was Sakai Ken. Onodera Shoichiro won the RS Aero 7s with a tie break from Nakamizo Akihiro. Overall, across all the RS Classes on corrected time Nakamizo Akihiro was the winner.

Next up for the Japanese RS Aeros is the Japanese RS Winter Championship - Shimizu, Japan
on 11/12th Jan 2025.
