RS Aero Australian National Championship - Mount Martha YC, VIC, Australia, 13-17th Jan
Mount Martha YC saw a fantastic turnout of 57 RS Aeros over 4 fleets for the 2024 Australian RS Aero National Championships. Visitors travelled from Great Britain and Japan and four Australian States were represented on the podiums.
Conditions were mixed over the championship providing fantastic variety and opportunity for everyone over the 4 race days and 10 race series.
Day 1 - Light winds, 3 races
Day 2 - Windier, 2 races
Day 3 - Morning racing postponed. Dropped to 15-18 knots, 3 races
Day 4 - Rest day
Day 5 - 15+ knots, 2 races
The presentation dinner was enjoyed with delicious paella together with the after race nibbles each day, making for excellent hospitality to match the race management and shore support. The particularly amazing beach crew did an awesome job of getting all the RS Aeros on and off the water very efficiently each day!
Thanks to Rooster for their support.
