Tri-Icicle Pursuit Race - Snowflake SC, Wroxham Broad, Norfolk, UK, 22 OctThe Tri-Icicle is the opening event which marks the start of Snowflake Sailing Club's winter season. This winter Snowflake SC are based on Wroxham Broad at Norfolk Broads YC rather than on the river at Horning. Therefore, this year the Tri-Icicle was held as a Pursuit Race on Wroxham Broad, rather than a down river long distance race.
Conditions were perfect with a warm sunny day and a nice medium breeze. A wide array of classes took part with a variety of dinghies, small keelboats like Stars and Yeomans right up to the traditional local river classes and River Cruisers with their huge rigs to catch the breeze above the trees on the sheltered Broads and Rivers.
Congratulations to David Cronk of Hunts SC who scored an impressive 4th place from the 24 starters in his RS Aero 7.Who is up for joining this nice day out on the Norfolk Broads next year?
