RS Aeros at Notts County Sailing Club - 30th September
Fourteen RS Aeros were greeted by a light WSW wind which was as forecast with the promise of more in the afternoon. The event got off to a prompt start following a briefing by the Race Officer and saw local U19 sailor Hayden Moore take the win with Joe Scurrah (Carsington) second and Craig Williamson (Staunton Harold) take third.
The format for the afternoon was two back to back races and as promised a little more wind came in from a slightly more southerly direction. The increase in wind saw the day’s second race go to Joe Scurrah with Craig Williamson second and Paul Williamson (Staunton Harold) third.
The final race started with a reasonable breeze which gradually died as the drizzle started. Joe Scurrah again led the field home with close racing seeing Rebecca Ogden (Notts County) second and Hayden Moore third.
It was a good day of racing with excellent race management with the event being shared with RS 600s and Solos.
