Lymington Dinghy Regatta - UK, 12/13th August
17 RS Aeros braved a windy weekend racing on the western Solent at Lymington for this year's Lymington Dinghy Regatta with 100 boats at the event in total.
Racing was cancelled on Saturday as 30kn gusts funnelled down the western Solent. Undeterred 7 RS Aeros went out together for a wild training session in the waves.
Sunday made up for no racing on Saturday with 4 glorious races in 18kns, gusting up to 25kns. Adding to the excitement the wind blew against the ebb tide kicking up a challengingly fun wave set.
Congratulations to Tom Ahlheid (Frensham) in his RS Aero 5 on the overall PY win with a 1,3,1,1 ahead of Tim Hire (Lymington) in 2nd in his RS Aero 7 and Tristan Ahlheid (Frensham) in 3rd in his RS Aero 5.
1st female was Abby Hire (Lymington) in 4th overall in her RS Aero 5.
