RS Aero Irish Northern Champs - Swords S&BC, Ireland, 20/21st MayThe growing RS Aero fleet at Swords just to the north of Dublin hosted the 2023 Irish Northerns, sponsored by MATROPIX, with coaching by Noel Butler and loan boats provided by Irish RS dealer Kenneth Rumball. 13 RS Aeros took part with a mix of RS Aero 6s and 7s racing on corrected time scoring. The event saw fairly light winds over the weekend.
Congratulations to Daragh Sheridan (Howth YC) on a convincing win in his RS Aero 7 with a string of 1sts. Kevin Stallard (Blessington Lakes SC) took 2nd also in an RS Aero 7 with Sarah Dwyer (Royal St George YC) 3rd in her RS Aero 6.

Next up is the RS Aero Irish National Championships 17/18 June in Dublin Bay hosted by the National Yacht Club and officiated by their own Eddie Totterdell and team. A Class Association coaching day will be held by excellent NYC Club coach, Thomas Chaix on the Friday, open to all members of the class.
