Write-Up

Midlands RS Aero Training - Notts County SC, Nottinghamshire, UK, 8th April 2023

Thanks to Alan Beaton for his summary;

The RS Aero early season Midlands Training formed part of the RS Aero UK Class Associations regional support towards RS Aero training and was held at sunny Notts County Sailing Club on Saturday 8th April with 13 participants.

The wind was light and patchy but the coach Tim Rush managed to get two sessions on the water. Focusing on RS Aero specific upwind speed and tacking as well as downwind speed and gybing. The onshore session on sail shape and batten tension was very informative and an eye opener to most of us. I’ve been getting it wrong for years!

Finishing later than the published time, I believe everyone went away with a lot more knowledge on how to sail their RS Aero faster.

The next Class supported regional RS Aero training is in southern England at Sutton Bingham, Yeovil, this Saturday 15th (entries close Thurs eve!) and in Scotland at Dalgety Bay SC, Fife, on 22/23rd April which is already a 20 RS Aero sell out!
