RS Aero UK Youth Team Winter Training - Paignton SC, Devon, UK, 11/12  Feb
Supported by Rooster

Thanks to Tristan Ahlheid for his summary;

Saturday:
Saturday morning met the sailors with a glassy Torbay. Although there was no wind, coaches George Cousins and Greg Bartlett made the most of the day. Greg led a challenging but rewarding fitness session, while George discussed starting, with transits as the focus.
A big thanks to Vanessa Ripley for cooking up a delicious curry in the evening!

Sunday:
In the morning the Youth Team were greeted with a fantastic breeze. After a short briefing we launched our RS Aeros and began training. After several long beats, runs and rabbit runs later, focusing on boat speed over waves we came in for a well-deserved lunch, but then straight back out again for some sprint racing to practise the starting theory learned the previous day.

Thanks to coaches George and Greg and the wonderful hosts at Paignton SC for an excellent weekend!

George Cousins added; 'So nice to get some mild conditions at the weekend. We made the most of the good breeze with some long upwinds on Sunday and I think they enjoyed the 40 minutes non stop downwind run home!'
