Irish RS Southerns - Monkstown Bay SC, Cork, Ireland, 16/17 AprilA small but quality fleet headed south to Monkstown Bay SC, Cork, to compete in the Irish RS Aero Southerns over the Easter weekend alongside the RS200s, RS 400s and RS Fevas.
Situated on the River Lee at the entrance to the tidal Lough Mahan there was plenty of moving water to test the fleets judgement and fortunately there were also good breezes to help deal with it.
Congratulations to Daragh Sheridan (Howth YC) and local RS Aero sailor Robert Howe (Monkstown Bay SC) in RS Aero 7s on tying overall, with Daragh taking the win on the tie break with his last race victory. Top RS Aero 5 with a little less power to make it over the tide was Sarah Dwyer (Royal St George YC).
