Frensham Frenzy - Surrey, UK, Sunday 6th March
A blustery north-easterly greeted 40 competitors to the 2022 Frenshsam Frenzy. Whilst chilly the sun was out and NE direction provided a good clear direction at Frensham for an exciting day's racing in some great conditions. The format is for two 90 minute pursuit races using most of the marks on the pond to provide 3 windward legs each lap and all angles. Whilst the temps were cool about 30 windward legs over the day gave a great warm up for the new season.

A good contingent of 5 RS Aeros turned out and faired well taking 4th, 5th and 6th overall. The RS Aeros 5s went well in the breeze with some close racing against the ILCA6s and the GP14. Tristan Ahlheid pipped elder brother Tom on a tie break with Peter Barton just behind in his RS Aero 7, not quite able to catch the lead bunch by the finish time in each race. It was great to see an RS Aero 6 out again with Graham Tribbeck grateful for a smaller option than his RS Aero 7, sailing it to 12th overall.

Just 17 sailors managed to finish both races on a testing and chilly day!
