Thanks to Jim Myers for his summary of the RS Aeros' visit to Barrington;
The Barrington Yacht Club in Barrington, RI, hosted what they promise was the first annual RS Aero Regatta this past Saturday. 9 of us sailed. eight RS Aero 9s and Sally Sharp sailed her RS Aero 7. Sally Started every race at 30 seconds and in the 14-20 knot breeze it worked really well. We had wind against tide for some wild rides. I believe everyone swam at least once!
PRO David Materne and his RC did a great job of keeping the races going and changing it up with some once around and some twice around. They also quickly moved us from out in Narragansett Bay at the Bristol Highlands up into the more protected Barrington River for the last 3 races.
The top 5 were announced on Saturday after a great dinner was provided to us.
