Strong wind and big waves made for exciting racing on the first day of the RS Aero German Champs, held during Warnemunde Woche.

 

Juliane Barthel (SC Dummer) won the day with a 2,1,1 ahead of Philip Nann (Blankenser SC) with 1,3,2 and Jorn Domres (SV Harlbucht) taking 3rd overall.

 

Special mention goes to the visitors from the Czech Republic, with Sylvia Mrazova sailing well to complete two races in the difficult seaconditions - you do not get to practice on waves like those on the Lakes of the Czech Republic!

 

Sadly conditions continued to deteriorate with no racing possible over the next 2 days with winds and waves just too big.
