Austin Yacht Club - Fred's Easter Regatta, Texas, USA, April 20/21

Well the 2019 Texas Circuit got off to a good start with Fred's Easter Regatta at Austin Yacht Club on Lake Travis. Traditionally a huge Laser regatta, the RS Aero's are making a presence. New boat owner Simon Elliott and past Laser great Matt Romberg joined us for the weekend and quickly showed the fleet what local knowledge on Lake Travis means. Besides, It's getting harder for us slightly older sailors to keep up with these young 50 year old flat bellies. A link to the results is below.
The next event is the RS Aero Gulf Coast Championships, May 17-19, at Sea Star Base Galveston Sponsored by KO Sailing. Charter boats will be available thru KO so call Mark or Jamie and reserve one. Registration is open on Regatta network. The early count is 15 boats probably closer to 20. Anyone wanting to fly in should fly to Houston Hobby.
