RS Aero designer, Jo Richards, and two other RS Aero sailors, our Class measurer David Rickard and Duncan de Boltz, lifted the cherished Gold Roman Bowl on corrected time after a long day in light breezes around the Isle of Wight, UK, battling a fleet of 1200!
Persistence was key with their 18'er (an Alacrity, not a Skiff!) being the smallest boat in the race and also that they have come close several times before!"....you've got to be lucky and get the breaks. Unless you've done the preparation and put yourself in a position to get the breaks it doesn't happen, but you do still have to be lucky." Jo commented. Wise words and so true of all sailboat racing!

The senior RS Aero team achievement comes straight off the back of another RS Aero team victory by the youthful team of Liam Willis and his young RS Aero ninjas winning the Royal Lymington RS21 British Keelboat Qualifier just two weeks earlier.
