- Sailors competing in an RS Aero National Class Association's organised events must be a member of that country's National Class Association.
- Sailors who join an RS Aero National Class Association will automatically be recorded as a member of the RS Aero International Class Association.
- Where a National Class Association does not exist, sailors may currently join the RS Aero International Class Association for free.
