RS Aero UK Winter Training at Broadwater Sailing Club – 14–15 February ⛵

This weekend, Broadwater Sailing Club hosted the RS Aero UK Winter Training, a fantastic opportunity for sailors to refine their skills and tackle the challenges of racing in winter conditions ️❄️. Despite the brisk winds and cool temperatures, participants embraced the elements and focused on improving their technique over two days of dedicated training.

A highlight of the weekend was the strong local presence, with 8 local boats ️ joining on top of the regular series sign-ups, creating a lively and engaging fleet. The sessions focused on the key skills needed for racing, including 360° penalty turns and precise mark rounding, giving sailors the chance to break down complex maneuvers and practice them in real conditions.

Hospitality at the club was exceptional , with a hearty breakfast and lunch provided, keeping everyone fueled and ready for the on-water challenges. The friendly atmosphere ashore mirrored the collaborative spirit on the water , with coaches and sailors sharing tips and insights throughout the weekend.

Overall, it was a hugely successful training weekend , combining expert guidance, practical learning, and excellent club hospitality. Sailors left with new skills, renewed confidence, and a strengthened sense of community within the RS Aero fleet.
