🏁  Lymington Dinghy Regatta 2026 - Hampshire UK ⛵️

The RS Aero fleet once again delivered some fantastic racing at the 2026 Lymington Dinghy Regatta, with 17 boats competing across the Aero 5, 6, 7 and 9 rigs in the challenging conditions of the Western Solent.

After five races over two days, it was local sailor Cameron Bignold-Kyles (Lymington Town SC) who took overall victory in his Aero 7, scoring an impressive three race wins to finish on 6 points. Just behind him was Tim Hire (Lymington Town SC / Royal Lymington YC) in second on 10 points, while Peter Barton (Lymington Town SC) completed an all-Lymington podium in third with 11 points despite carrying a DNC in Race 4.

The battle for the top places remained tight throughout the weekend, with Jack Miller (Felpham SC) finishing fourth and Sam Blaker (Thorpe Bay YC) taking fifth overall and top Aero 6 sailor.

It was particularly encouraging to see strong representation across the different rig sizes, with competitive racing from the Aero 5s through to the Aero 9s. Congratulations also to Ava Francis, top Aero 5 sailor, and Mark Lambdin, top Aero 9 sailor.

A huge thank you to the volunteers, race officers and organisers from Lymington Town Sailing Club and Royal Lymington Yacht Club for delivering another superb regatta. Great racing, great company and plenty of Solent sunshine made for a memorable weekend.

Well done to everyone who travelled from around the country to join the fleet, and we look forward to seeing the RS Aeros back on the water soon.
