🏁 EXMOOR BEASTIE 2026 – EVENT REPORT ⛵

What a way to round off the winter series at Wimbleball Sailing Club with the legendary Exmoor Beastie! 🌬️⛰️

Held as a mixed-fleet pursuit race on 22 March 2026, the event once again delivered close racing, shifting conditions, and plenty of tactical challenges across the fleet on the stunning Exmoor reservoir.

🥇 Chris Jones (RS Aero 7, Sutton Bingham SC) – also taking 1st RS Aero
🥈 Alan Harris-Guerrero (Blaze, Porthpean SC)
🥉 Chris Dyer (Blaze, Wimbleball SC)

The RS Aero fleet showed strong form across the results, with competitive performances throughout the fleet:

• 1st RS Aero / 1st overall – Chris Jones (Aero 7)
• 6th overall – Mark Lambdin (Aero 9, Bradford on Avon SC)
• 10th overall – Nathan Pollard (Aero 7, Upper Tamar Lake SC)
• 18th overall – George Lenney (Aero 5, Restronguet SC)

With a single pursuit race format and a mixed handicap fleet, places changed constantly on the water, keeping the pressure on right to the finish line.

A brilliant end to the winter series with tight racing, great sailing conditions for Exmoor, and a strong RS Aero turnout. 👏
