RS Aero UK Spring Championship - Island Barn Reservoir SC, Surrey, UK, 23rd April
The annual Island Barn RS Aero event would appear to be the most reliably windy over the years and this season's RS Aero UK Spring Championship was no exception for the 27 RS Aeros competing!
Beautiful blue skies and a strong breeze gusting up to 30kts provided a wonderfully exciting day's racing. Whilst the flat water helped, the challenge was in dealing with the ferocity of the gusts, especially when usually accompanied by a shift too.....

Class Racing is proposed with up to 4 races with a nice lunch break.
Island Barn is a popular club accessibly located to the south west of London. The reservoir is raised, enjoying a clearer wind over its wide open surface. The RS Aero fleet at Island Barn has continued to grow to be over 20 RS Aeros now!

Apologies if anyone has been trying to enter earleir in the weekend. The web site is back up and taking entries. (Security certificate expired over the weekend). Forecast is looking great. 12-14 knots with some decent gusts to keep you on your toes, pleasantly warm and fine.
Please get the entries in early so we can plan numbers for food etc. Should be perfect sailing weather, and with the forecasted direction, sheltered in front of the clubhouse for spectators.
