Howth Round the Island - Howth YC, Ireland, 12th March
The Ireland's Eye Round the Island is the traditional conclusion to the Howth YC Frostbite Series. For the first time, 2022 saw an invite to compete in a PY handicap fleet and some of the growing number of RS Aeros at Howth and the surrounding region took up the unique challenge with enthusiasm.
A windward-leeward warm up race is followed by the big one - a dash around Ireland's Eye starting with a short windward leg before sailors branch off to round the island, with the option to choose their direction of rounding!
Congratulations to the RS Aeros for a great turnout and to Roy, Daragh and Sarah for sailing home to an all RS Aero podium!
