Wurstfest is back! 16 RS Aeros, with 10 RS Aero 7s and 6 RS Aero 9s, gathered at the 2021 Wurstfest Regatta at Canyon Lake, Texas, after a year off.
The weather was absolutely beautiful with the exception of no wind on Saturday making for a relaxing day. Sunday started slow but after the breeze set in, 4 races were sailed. Competition was tight as the breeze was typical Canyon Lake with lots of shifts and holes.
Congratulations to Eugene Schmitt (Bay Wavland YC, MI) whose consistency gave him the win from Hank Saurage (Pontchartain YC, LA) with Long Ta (Viridian SC, TX) in 3rd, all in RS Aero 7s. The 1st RS Aero 9 was David Valentine (Viridian, TX) in 4th overall..
