18 RS Aeros turned out for the first ever RS Aero Irish National Championships in Dun Laoghaire supported by Irish National Marine Services

All sailors choose to compete in the RS Aero 7 rig. Irish Class President, Brendan Foley, was delighted “With 18 of the 30 RS Aeros in Ireland competing here today, the RS Aero class has really arrived – there are few other classes where so many past champions in other classes are sailing together and so many new people are starting their racing journey, all in a friendly, sharing environment”.

Irish Open National RS Aero Championship - Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland, 18/19 September

The Irish National Sailing School (INSS), with the support of the RS dealership of southern Ireland, will host the inaugural Irish Open from Dun Laoghaire harbour with excellent racing on Dublin Bay.

There is already good interest from the fast emerging Irish RS Aero fleet together with keen traveling RS Aero sailors in both the north and south of mainland UK and those nearby on the Isle of Man. We should be in for a fabulous first Irish National Champs!
