RS Japan Open - Hayama, Tokyo, Japan, 31 Oct - 1 Nov
The first RS Japan Open is now completed!
A total of 29 mixed RS Class boats from different clubs and including youths competed three races in a light breeze. The RS Aeros were the largest fleets competing with six RS Aero 7s and six RS Aero 5s entered.
Washiyama Shinichi won overall in his RS Aero 7 and 2nd went to
Nakamizo Akihiro in another RS Aero 7 .
The first prize awarded to the champion was a beautiful wooden trophy made by Hitomi, a graduate student of art.

RS Japan Class Association hold the biggest RS event ever before in Japan! The RS JAPAN OPEN will be held off the coast at Morito, Hayama, on 31 Oct - 1 Nov!
The 12 RS Aero entered make the biggest RS fleet ever in Japan.
Another two RS700, two RS500, RS200, RS100, two RS Vareo, RS Feva, two RS Zest, three RS Quba and three RS Tera including the youth, totalling 28 RS boats are registered!
A traditional wooden trophy made by Hitomi will be awarded to the champion and participation awards are handmade by children at the Soyuz Spin. The event is also facilitating a meeting with the volunteers of the RS management team!
It's going to be a good weekend!
