David describes;
- Yellow Flags - How they work. Our 'soft option' makes all penalties as two turns without escalation.
- Whistle System - Signifies that the Judge believes he has witnessed a possible incident and might initiate a protest if there is no exoneration.

RS AERO 6
As agreed at the UK AGM in Eastbourne, we have resumed test sails of the RS Aero 6 for the next couple of months and will collate feedback. Three were out at Salcombe last weekend having good racing against each other. The Inlands is Class racing and the NoR permits the RS Aero 6 to join the RS Aero 7 fleet on an equal basis.
Please let me know if you might like to borrow an RS Aero 6 rig for the Draycote Inlands to check it out.Reply

There are good accommodation options in both Dunchurch and Rugby nearby. There is no evening meal at the sailing club, however, in central Dunchurch three varied good dinner options stand out. With current restrictions you would be well advised to book a table (6 max). Whilst socially distanced you may be able to wave across the room to other RS Aero sailors!

83 entries are now signed up for the RS Aero Inlands! This makes the Inlands at Draycote this October the largest RS Aero weekend event ever, in the world, ever, so far!
Draycote have a detailed and well practiced plan in place to avoid the need for any gathering at all ashore, before or after racing. We can be sure of great racing in good fleets afloat with some opportunity to catch up with friends safely outdoors over the weekend too.
RS Aero 9 UK Nationals
20 RS Aero 9s are now signed up for the re-scheduled Nationals, the largest '9 bubble' since we had 42 at the Weymouth Worlds! The big question everyone is asking is whether the current World and European Champions will step up and add to the already very competitive entry list!
If you are an RS Aero 9 sailor you should come along and savour this opportunity to enjoy the large RS Aero 9 gathering.

15 Ladies are set to contest the 2020 RS Aero UK Ladies Champs. Any more?
RS Aero UK Masters Champs
12 Masters will battle for the all conquering 55+s title, spread over all three rigs.
Youths
A whopping 22 youths signed up as they prepare for their UK Youth Champs at Burghfield. This bodes well for the future of the Class with some excellent talents coming through.
Online entry closes at the end of this Fri 2nd and there will be no late entry, so pop your entries in now to secure your place.

An excellent fleet of 18 RS Aero 9s are now signed up for the re-scheduled Nationals.We have an excellent trophy up for grabs kindly provided by RS Sailing.

I am pleased to confirm we have Class Juror, David Battye, joining us again at this event to help keep our racing fair and most enjoyable. David also helps to educate us in treading the fine line of the rules and we will aim to provide some online video briefings and debriefs by David for all to benefit easily. Thanks to Nick Ripley of Paignton for providing his rib to help enable this.

This year's UK Inland Championship at Draycote in 3 weeks time is set to be the largest weekend event yet in the history of the RS Aero Class!

RS AERO 9 - with the re-scheduled RS Aero 9 UK National Champs 2020 a great RS Aero 9 fleet is forming with 15 signed up already. There is potential for socially distanced RS Aero 9 big boys beers in Dunchurch - and anyone welching down from the RS Aero 9 entry list to the RS Aero 7 at the last minute can buy!!!
Draycote Water Sailing Club - an RYA Club of the Year 2020 finalist, are professionally managed and are now well set up and practiced at delivering a socially distanced and hygenic process for large regattas. Beyond small social interactions there will be no need to gather;

Online Entry is now Open! (100 limit)
Draycote Water is centrally located and easily accessed from each direction. They have a good expanse of water, attractive surrounds and a super keen RS Aero fleet.
The club are all set and looking forward to hosting the Inlands in just 4 weeks time. They have just hosted the RS Feva 'Summer Champs' and so have already had a good practice of their socially distanced and hygenic process for large regattas.
Entry and payment is online, registration is drive through on arrival, briefing will be by online video, there will be multiple launching areas and changing rooms are closed - so bring your changing robes!
The racing will be excellent, food, drink and toilets will be available and there will be ample opportunity to catch up with old friends on and off the water.
After a windy forecast deterred the RS Aero 9 fleet at the Eastbourne Nationals (boosting the 7s) the Inlands at Draycote will now include the re-scheduled RS Aero 9 UK Nationals with RS Sailing's wonderful trophy and the 2020 UK big boy's title still up for grabs.
Will Liam Lightening strike twice and return to defend his title or can Gregory make his training count? Could the RS Aero 9s be the largest RS Aero fleet at Daycote? Too many questions and no answers yet...
As in previous years, the event will also incorporate the RS Aero UK Ladies and UK Masters Championships, with the Ladies event rescheduled from earlier this year. The Ladies and Masters Champs will both evolve to be their own stand alone events in 2021.
Entries are limited to 100, first come first served. Entry closes after 2nd Oct, there is no late entry or entry on the day.
