Round 12 - RS Aero UK Winter Series Gales Cancel another days racing!
It has been windy now in the UK for about as long as we can remember - almost all year in fact. This weekend the Chichester Snowfake fell victim to the current gales and lost the final day of their 4 day Snowflake Series which was to be included in the RS Aero UK Winter Series.
None the less, Mark Riddington of Emswoth Slipper SC achieved success for the RS Aeros in the earlier races of the series to score 2nd overall in the mixed class Medium fleet.

RS Aero storm chasers, Bartlett and Barton, were nearly at Chichester before mission HQ (Greg's mum!) informed the team of the cancelation posted on facebook. Undeterred they returned to Lymington in time to make the 11:00 Perishers race start and when that was blown off too Greg insisted they went out for a wild blast on the western Solent!

Round 12 of the RS Aero UK Winter Series
The Chichester Snowflake (23 Feb) is well supported by RS Aeros from Chichester YC and winter visitors from Felpham SC too.
The Chichester Snowflake is a series of four Sundays through the Winter and we are including their 4th event on the 23rd Feb into our RS Aero Winter Series
Two back-to-back handicap races are scheduled at the top of the tide. With a good fleet of well matched similar boats the racing is good.
