'The Bloody Mary is the largest dinghy race in the UK with a top limit of 350 boats! The iconic annual fixture represents an intriguing PY challenge. With the Pursuit format there is the benefit of Class starts within the larger race, followed by all the fun of the 'chase and be chased'! With over 35 RS Aeros already entered it is set to be one of the biggest UK Winter series events and possible a new record for the SailJuice Series!'Reply03/12/2019 16:09:00

The Bloody Mary
Queen Mary SC
Sat 11th Jan
RS Aero UK Winter Series & SailJuice Series
This year the RS Aero Youth Team winter training programme includes the Bloody Mary Pursuit race at Queen Mary SC. This forms part of their 4th weekend as they will stay there for training on the Sunday.
This has produced a fantastic RS Aero 5 fleet signed up of 29 already! They will therefore enjoy good class racing within the larger mixed class pursuit race challenge at this iconic event that can have up to 350 boats overall.
Do come and join them in your RS Aero 5 - or any RS Aero rig for that matter. It is likely to become one of the largest RS Aero 5 gatherings ever and a new record for any class at the Bloody Mary in recent history! What a way to start the New Year!
Good News for RS Aero 5s - The Great Lakes PY is 7 points better off than last year, having steadily dropped as more race data becomes available. This will allow the 5s to be more competitive and is likely to equate to an extra minute at the Bloody Mary - be sure to make that minute count!
