On the 11th of August the
124th Salcombe Yacht Club Regatta starts. The format is one long(ish) race a day, either in the morning or afternoon, depending on fleet, with the rest of the day off for holiday pursuits.
The Salcombe Estuary is an "interesting" place to sail. Usually fabulous but can approach the diabolical. Entry is open to all monohull dinghies, but is best suited to mid-range boats such as the RS Aero.
We are particularly keen to get some Aeros visiting as we have a small, but growing, home fleet and we are hoping to have enough for a "7" fleet with its own start.
Other rigs are very welcome, but unless you enter in your droves will probably be in the handicap fleets.
For details go to the Salcombe Yacht Club website and look under Book Online,, Open Meetings.
