Too Steamy at Starcross
Sadly the Starcross Steamer was initially postponed to the Sunday and then, due to the forecast, it was later cancelled altogether. There are no plans to re-schedule this event this year.
The 30th Starcross Steamer will be held on Sunday January 19th 2020 - pop it in your diary!
First Start: 12:30 High tide: 13:44 Format: One pursuit race Entry fee: £15 for single handers, £5 for Juniors
This is a great day out at Starcross Sailing Club racing with 100 other mixed dinghies on the pretty Exe Estuary on the top of the tide. In 2016 the RS Aeros won the Cup too, with 13 RS Aeros entering this popular annual event. Can we win it back again in 2019?
As the race is one big pursuit race the RS Aeros have their own starts and can enjoy a nice class race in addition to the main event, whatever the conditions on the day.
The Starcross Steamer is also part of the recently expanded Sailing Southwest Winter Series.
