LYMINGTON PERISHERS
A great start to the season at Lymington with 46 mixed entries to the first Perishers race including 12 RS Aeros. This is an eight race series, each Sunday at 11:00 through Jan & Feb. With the light breeze the RS Aeros split equally between 9 and 7 rigs.
Series PRO, Simon Ward, 'The Godfather' of the now 43 boat Lymington RS Aero fleet, got it spot on, setting a square run and beat and hit his target time nicely of about 1 hour.
As ever, it looks set to be a challenging series with the variety of classes and conditions over 2 months. It could get more interesting too if some of us have over committed on our sail sizes after a light first race!
