Bowmoor Bubble RS Aero Open

Saturday 1st December

Thirty RS Aeros entered for the Bowmoor Bubble, the first event of this winter’s RS Aero UK Winter Series. The rain stopped soon after rigging and the 30kn gusts never materialised, leaving a pleasant day's racing in a medium breeze.

Thanks to Chris Hatton for his detailed report. Usually blow by blow accounts of each race can be dull but this one kept me riveted! He is a sailor who remembers everything about his races, which is a great asset when trying to improve. Sounds like Chris enjoyed his day!

30 entries provided great racing over 3 Classes for the Bowmoor Bubble.

A medium breeze and mild temperatures made for a nice day on the water to kick off Round 1 of the RS Aero UK Winter Series 2018/19.

The forecast is looking good with the possibility of some excitement, but not too much! Moderating through the day. Mild temps, some sun, no rain. Perfect!

Winter begins in the UK this Saturday with the RS Aero 'Bowmoor Bubble' meeting near Swindon, the first of our RS Aero 2018/19 UK Winter Series. The complete series will be announced later this week with approximately 10 events spread around the UK and just the best 3 to count.

It is wonderful to see 20 RS Aeros already now signed up for Bowmoor with a fantastic turnout from Bowmoor's home fleet of 11 home boats signed up!

For RS Aeros it is still a month before winter starts in the UK, marked on the 1st December by The Bowmoor Bubble RS Aero Open, the first event of the 2018/2019 UK Winter Series!

The Bowmoor SC RS Aero fleet have steadily increased in number to a whopping 23 RS Aeros now with a good number out in all of their racing.

Online entry is now open and the locals have all been quick off the mark with 8 signed up already! Please sign up in advance to assist the club with planning and admin, no advance payment is necessary.
