RS AEROCUP 2018 : LA BAULE
South Brittany, France
Fri 28 Sept - Mon 1 Oct
'Plus Belle Plage d'Europe'
The 4th edition of this prestigious 'but chilled' RS Aero annual international regatta is now confirmed for La Baule, France. La Baule is situated near Nantes, a little to the east of Carnac, the venue of last year's 96 RS Aero World Championship.
After previous editions on the Spainish Mediterranean coast and the Italian Lakes it will be fantastic to revisit France's atlantic coast to one of their most cherished seaside towns. Great coastal racing, a fantastic beach and fine dining! C'est très bien! C'est la plus belle plage d'Europe!

The Fri-Mon schedule will assist Brits with affordable ferry crossings avoiding the weekend peak rates. Racing will be scheduled to start late on Friday and finish early on Monday enabling overnight ferries and minimising holiday days required for those that need to.
The two weekend days (29/30) will also be a French RS Feva event - so if you can manage a couple of day's off school for a long weekend in France at the end of summer bring the family!
La Baule
A century-old seaside resort in southern Brittany with beautiful villas, luxury hotels and an original mix of old Breton and exclusive seaside culture with a 12 kilometer-long sand beach, La Baule has long been home to French high society's seaside residences. During July and August each year, the population of La Baule increases dramatically with Parisians and from Nantes day trippers. Despite this, La Baule is still virtually unknown outside France!
Late September is a wonderful time to visit, with the weather still nice and avoiding the summer crowds. Accommodation, travel, parking and those all important restaurant seats will all be that much easier to get and more affordable!
